ROCKET TRAINING TRAINEESHIP IN HORTICULTURE

What will I be doing?

You will do work experience in a Horticulture environment which will help you develop skills and understanding of the following:

Health and Safety
Mowing Grass
Developing flower beds and containers
Using machinery
Problem solving
Growing and pruning plants
Working with others

What else?

You will be able to develop skills which will help you gain employment in a wide range of employers. You will work towards Maths and English. The employers we use usually pay a contribution of up to £100/week towards expenses.

How long does it last?

The course will last for up to 6 months.

What kind of job could I get after this course?

You can progress into full time employment an apprenticeship or get a reference from the employer.

Individual tutors will contact you and discuss timescales for sessions and work deadlines, your personal tutor will contact you to conduct your progress review. Tutors are working remotely so you may get a call from an unknown number, not the usual office number. You are expected to complete the work set by the deadlines, if you have any difficulties in doing this please let your tutor know so we can see if alternative arrangements can be made. If exams are required, individual tutors will contact you to make specific arrangements

We have a range of virtual platforms in use from Text, Voice calls, email, post and Zoom, your tutor will inform of which is being used and what is the most appropriate for you.
